Sweet birthday

Hey! Well apparently I am in need of more birthday cards so I made this card. I used the bumper stamp set that came free in the "Cardmaking & Papercraft" magazine. I then coloured in the little guy and the cake. I then cut him out using spellbinders and layered it up with a scalloped circle die from spellbinders. I used some papers from the Echo Park, Dots n Stripes set as well as some My Mind's Eye Christmas paper which went perfect!!! (I had it out doing Christmas cards so why not use a bit of it!!) I punched the black cardstock with the Martha Stewart punch and then layered it with the papers going up from the bottom of the card. I attached a black ribbon and then layered some flowers/brad and adhered it on. I used some Moon Glow, Terra Cotta embossing powder, for the "Happy birthday" sentiment on black paper and then layered it with some white. I added a few bling to the card to add some more black to the card. Lastly I adhered the whole mat to the black card front.

Vintage chipboard album

Hey everyone! I made this chipboard album in the vintage style. For the cover I used some vintage style paper and added this wooden "traditions" element. I painted it brown. I took this brown piece of paper, and put gold paint all around the edges for a mat. I added some ribbon/flowers/lace and brads to finish up the front. Throughout the rest of the album, I have added stickers, flowers, brads, gens, metal elements, buttons and flowers. I sewed some of the mats to the pages for interest. To bind this album, all I did was take my we r memory punch and make holes for the top and then bind it together using a binder clip. It is a very easy way to get an album together!

Fairy sweet

Hey, I took this fairy digi image and then used some stickles to add some glitz to this fairy. I used spellbinders to mat up the die cuts. For the background, I made this using the ranger colour sprays. It is a product they sold a couple years back, it gives some nice rich colour. Then I added some paper from the K & Co paper line sweet nectar. I used some twine to criss-cross around the mat. Then I added three flowers/brads over top of the main image mat. I added a tag I made with my We R Memory Chompers (purple set) and stamped the "You're so sweet" sentiment on to it. I used my copics to match the colours from teh cards in the words. I lastly added this great cupcake embellishment that I'm not quite sure what company it is, but it worked perfectly! Then I adhered it to the card front and it was done!

Happy birthday bear

Hey! I started making this card awhile ago for a challenge that you could only use brown and orange for, however, it got lost in the mix and I found it the other day and thought I would finish it!!! This is a digi bear image. I cut him out with spellbinders and then inked around him with vintage photo. I then layered it onto another spellbinders scalloped circle die cut. I then popped that up on pop dots onto the card which was made with this really great creamy and orange paper. I added some vintage photo to the edges and layered a paper going down the side as well. I made this great sentiment using MS Word and then used my We R Memory Keepers (pink tool) for the angle side to make this look like a tag. I added a brad and attached it to the card. Lastly I added this butterfly, I really think it adds a nice touch...and of course adhering the whole card to the card front on Kraft cardstock

Santa bear

Hi! I started out with his teddy bear digi image, but he was a little bare (I know haha), so I added some stamps (the HO HO HO and the 2 presents). I added some stickles to his hat and scarf and then the the presents. I coloured in the presents with copics. I then used a spellbinders square die to cut him out and layered it onto another square (Lacey squares). I took the blue paper in behind and embossed it and then inked over the embossed areas. I adhered that to the red cardstock in behind and then wrapped the ribbon around. I stamped "warmest wishes" onto the red cardstock and then used my corner rounder to make a tag. I then attached that. I then adhered the whole mat to the card front. I wanted to keep this one simple and easy for mailing, but I think it still looks so cute!

Awww puppy

I won this digital image awhile back and just had to use this sweet puppy. I added some stickles to his collar and then matted him up using spellbinders. I used some Authentique paper and layered up a tag using my own sentiment using MS Word. I then used copics to add some red to the "Life" in the sentiment.I attached this beautiful red ribbon and made a nice bow! I'm still working on my bows, but this one is great! I then adhered it first to some red cardstock, and then that to the black card front. I added some red bling to the side and she was done!

Christmas Penguin Time

Hello...yes I was busy today! I love this digi image of these penguins in a snow globe. To add some glitz to it, I used stickles here and there and some diamond stickles for the "snow flakes". I cut the image out and then matted it onto some pink card stock (spellbinders circle die cut) and then matted that onto some amazing paper that just happened to match. I used a spellbinders circle scalloped die for this one. I then took some polka-dot paper that matched and ran it down the side of the card and then attached some nice red ribbon. I stamped this sentiment onto the same polka-dot paper and then layered it with some red paper (the same as the second layer of the card). I then stamped the merry christmas stamp on the pink spellbinders circle as it looked a bit bare. I then adhered the card to the blue card front, added the flower/brad and I was done. I love these penguins!!!

Birdie Brown and fall

Hey! Check over at Birdie Browns and grab this cute digi. It is there challenge for the month. I printed this guy off and then used watercolour pencils on him. It worked alright, but I think I prefer my copics...but I wanted to do something a bit different. After he was dry, I had to spice him up with some stickles. I layered him onto a spellbinders oval scalloped die cut. I used some random paper for the back and some layered the border and matching sticker onto the mat. I added some leaves...one big one in behind and 2 little guys in front. Lastly I added some buttons/twine to finish this up. I think I will try this little guy again and use copics, hopefully sometime soon!

Birthday friend card.

I made this card yesterday for my grandma's best friend. I started out by embossing some white card stock with the cuttle bugs embossing file. I then inked the swirls with some Victorian Velvet distress ink. I then added some patterned paper (from Echo park summer collection) and then placed the "friend" sentiment on using a rub on. I then added 3 flowers with brads. For the image, I printed this digi and then used spellbinders to layer up the mat. I added some black bling just to add some interest to that side of the card. I adhered that and then stamped the "happy birthday" onto the same colour cardstock as the main card front. I adhered it all to the card front and then I was done.

Girl Matchbook Album

Here is a quick way to make a mini-album. I made this matchbook style girl album. To add some decoration, I sewed all my mats onto the pages. It was a very easy to put together mini. I added a few flowers and brads along the way and a few stickers of course. I put this one together very quick and it will make a nice present! I also thought that this could turn into a card...in fact a few pockets and it could be a gift card holder/card/mini!

Happy Birthday Mom

Even though I wasn't feeling well in the today, I made my mom this card for her birthday. I cut out this digi-owl and then added some stickler to her. I used this paper set from K & Co. I cut out some of the flowered patterned paper and put 2 corner paper piecing in each corner. I then added some stickles to the flowers here and there. I added some ribbon and a bow and some bling to the top corner. I then adhered it to a white base and then to the black front of the card. Lastly I added the sentiment sticker and flowers/brads to finish this one up.

Tic Tac Toe bears

Hey! I used this digi image of these love bears. I then used copics over top of them to add some more details. I cut them out with spellbinders ovals and layered it with a scalloped ovals die. I used papers from the My Mind's Eye Bluebell 6 X 6 pack. I love this paper! I then added a ribbon/bow to the side. I made my own sentiment using MS Word and then used a corner rounder to make a nice tag. I didn't like the light colour paper going across the bottom, so I used the same copic colours I used on the bears to the light colour of the stripe. Then I added 3 flowers and 3 buttons. Lastly I added some glitter to where the bears were sitting...and then some above and on the bears as if it were snowing.

Here is the other card I made yesterday. I used this wood piece and then added some stickles to perk her up. I layered her onto a couple of spellbinders mats. I added a "boo" sticker. I then just arranged some patterned paper and wrapped some ribbon around it. I added the sparkly pumpkin, a sticker saying witches, and a few buttons/twine. Lastly I just took my black pen and made some faux stitching down the card.

Halloween...

Hey everyone. Well I guess I better post the halloween cards I made yesterday, here is the first. I don't know what it is, but I like doing regular cards rather than occasion cards like Halloween. Maybe I just never got into halloween, but anyways, here is one I did.

I used some random halloween papers I had. I matted sticker (bo-bunny I believe) onto a square piece of cardstock and then adhered that to a black die (spellbinders square). I popped it up with pop dots. I added a ghost element for some interest. I layered up some of the patterned paper I had and then using Tim's tiny attacher, I added some fibery ribbon across the card. I then used the spellbinders basic tags set that they sent me for winning a contest, and added some more patterned paper for a sentiment. Lastly, I cut out a couple guys, the ghost and dragon, from patterned paper and popped them up with pop dots.

Dad distressed

Hey everyone sorry for the back log of postings, it hasn't been too sunny out, so I have been postponing taking pictures! Anyways, here is my male inspired card. I used a variety of Tim Holtz papers, stamps, and ink of course. I added some brads to the spellbinders label die inked it up and used copics to colour in the "dad". I used some pop dots to "pop" it off. I added some black ribbon to add some interest and some 7 gypsies gears (as you know I love them!) I ripped the bottom of the main mat and inked it up. Lastly I just layered the papers and brought this card together.

Happy Froggie Birthday

Hey, I used this digi image and used copics to colour him up. I added some stickles on the frog and the cattails. I added some bling to add some extra sparkle. I cut it out using spellbinders circle dies. I layered it onto some cardstock that I embossed. I then added some ribbon that just fit the colours perfectly and then added some flowers, brads, buttons, twine, leaves, and bling. I made my own sentiment again using MS word and I love the "green" happy birthday on the tag, it works well. I then adhered the mat to an extra white mat and then to the green card front and wa-la!
